The LEGO Harry Potter Collector’s Edition “The Burrow” (76437) lives up to its collectible name more than any other large model before it.
There’s something a little unusual about 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition compared to all other LEGO Collectors’ Edition sets, and it’s clear for all to see. Aside from the 76391 Hogwarts Icons Collectors’ Edition, which celebrates the theme’s 20th anniversary, the LEGO Harry Potter Collectors’ Edition sets don’t include the actual collectible on the theme.
In the past, these were the random Chocolate Frog card tiles that were not included in the 76405 Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition or the 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. It’s worth noting that the trading cards were no longer included in the standard sets in 2023 – albeit when the latter set was released.
With 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, that changes as it includes at least two of the current LEGO Harry Potter collectibles. In the upcoming LEGO Harry Potter set, at least two randomly selected portraits will be available in the house.
This is useful for those who want to collect all 14 portraits randomly scattered throughout the 2024 LEGO Harry Potter sets. In a non-anniversary situation, it’s the first time a Collector’s Edition set is collectible for more than just its theme and minifigures. However, 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition is collectible for both reasons as well.
Hopefully this is a permanent change for the current collectible in future LEGO Harry Potter waves. It’s good to know that those who spend higher amounts on the LEGO Harry Potter Collectors’ Edition sets will likely be able to continue other collections as well.
