Harry Potter Forbidden Forest Experience Comes to Austin

CEDAR CREEK, Texas – Wizard fans will find a piece of the Forbidden Forest in Austin with autumn creatures from the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series.

Experience adventures along the forest trail as you cast spells and face off against some of the characters and magical creatures such as hippogriffs, unicorns, nifflers and more, the event’s website says. There will also be Harry Potter-inspired food and drink available.

The experience lasts about an hour to 90 minutes, but the hiking trail takes about 45 to 75 minutes.

Tickets for the general public start at $41 for adults and $28 for children. Children under two can participate in the experience for free.

“Harry Potter: A Forbidden Forest Experience” opens November 9 in the woods of McKinney Roughs Nature Park, 1760 State Highway 71 W. Guests can enjoy the experience Monday through Sunday between 5:45 p.m. and 11:45 p.m., with last admission at 10:15 p.m.

Advance ticket sales start on August 29th at 10:00 a.m. Guests can be put on the waiting list until then to get tickets.

Prepare to show off your best stance in a wand duel to conjure a Patronus to light up the dark forest – expecto patronum!
