The infant was taken to Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital, where he died.
According to police, Rush showed no emotion during the incident and wanted to “keep playing Xbox.”
According to police, both Rush and Singleton “intentionally and deliberately” deprived the baby of food between February 1 and June 25.
The investigation also revealed that there was no food in the house other than rice flakes.
A one-year-old child was also in the house and was taken into protective custody.
Rush and Singleton are scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on September 24.
