Council Rock Newtown Little League 1 World Series win – NBC10 Philadelphia

This is the youth baseball game of the season that people from Bucks County and beyond cannot miss.

With another win, the Council Rock Newtown Little League baseball team can advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

With an undefeated record of 17-0 – the longest winning streak of any team in the country – the team is full of talent, long-standing friendships and pride.

Not only do they have the best chance of securing a Grand Slam spot in the World Series, but they also have the potential to bring home the win.

After defeating Maryland 11-1 on Tuesday, CR Newton will face the Washington, DC team in the final of the Mid-Atlantic Region Tournament. The game in Bristol, Connecticut is revenge after CR Newtown defeated the DC team 13-1 last weekend.

A win in this game would send CR Newton to Williamsport for the Little League World Series, which begins next week.

Which players were stars of the Council Rock Newtown Little League?

The team began their historic run by going undefeated in District 30. They then swept their opponents in Section 6 to secure the crown with a berth in the state tournament. Their 4-0 record was a testament to their hard work and dedication and secured them a spot in the regional championships.

The team is led by head coach Brad Hamilton, who coaches Little League superstars Gavin Caudill, Rocco DaBronzo, Wes Esteves, Brody Gage, Greyson Gage, Dean Hamilton, Saverio Longo, Tyler Neeld, Brayden Peiffer, Nick Schiller, Will Siveter, Ryan Uhl and Tyler Wexler.

The team scored 27 goals in its two regional games in Bridgeport.

Where can I watch the game?

The Green Parrot Restaurant Pub & Patio had planned a watch party in Newtown for Friday afternoon, but rain was forecast so the game start time was moved up to 10 a.m. ET so the party could be moved up as well.

However, due to rain, the game was postponed late Friday morning.

The Mid-Atlantic Championship game will be broadcast live on ESPN2.
