Several Taylor Swift Fans wondered if the pop singer attended Thursday’s preseason game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears, while speculation swirled that the 34-year-old might perform at the Democratic National Convention. Neither Swift nor convention officials have issued a statement about her attendance at the Chicago event.

Fans at the Chiefs vs. Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium said they were unable to see Taylor Swift at the venue. “I can say Taylor is not at the preseason game between the Bears and Chiefs,” said one person on X, a platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Does anyone have confirmation that Taylor Swift is not at the DNC? I honestly feel like she could have a lot of influence here,” another person added.

“Did they introduce Taylor Swift at the DNC and give my life meaning yet?” asked a third on the Elon Musk platform.

Meanwhile, several media outlets have reported that Beyoncé will perform on the final night of the convention. According to MSNBC’s Katie Phang, the singer arrived at the United Center during the second hour of the event.

The Chicks, the Texas trio of Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer, had no banjos, no fiddle and no guitar at the United Center when they sang three-part melody (without audible effects). They sang “The Star-Spangled Banner” in the same style at the 2020 convention, but that performance was remote and pre-recorded for the COVID-19-limited convention.

Lesser-known names sang the national anthem on the first three nights of the Chicago convention, but the broadcast of “The Star-Spangled Banner” was postponed until prime time on Thursday night, shortly before Harris’ speech is scheduled to take place.
