Babatunde Aleshe has broken off contact with Matt Hancock after “I’m a Celeb”: “He’s not in the WhatsApp group!”

Babatunde Aleshe has no longer had contact with Matt Hancock following her appearance on “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”

The 37-year-old comedian took part in the 2022 season of the hit reality show on ITV1 alongside former MP Matt – who served as Britain’s health secretary during the COVID-19 pandemic – as well as a host of other contestants including pop icon Boy George, ‘Coronation Street’ legend Sue Cleaver and eventual winner Jill Scott, but admitted that Matt is not even part of the WhatsApp group chat.

He told Metro newspaper’s Sixty Seconds column: “It showed me that I am braver than I thought. Because even though I was afraid of

everything, the fact that I even agreed to participate, let me know – hey buddy, you are

pretty brave!

“You accept a challenge, even if you end up looking like a wimp.

“I’m in touch with everyone except Matt Hancock. But to be fair, he’s not part of the WhatsApp group.”

The Celebrity Gogglebox star stressed that he “doesn’t hate” Matt, 45, and that although things were “difficult” at camp at first, he has learned to “work together” with others.

He said, “Look, I don’t hate the guy. It was difficult at first to be there with someone who was hated all over the country. But we got through it because when you’re there, you learn to put your differences aside and learn how to work with people.”
