BALTIMORE, MD — If you want to enjoy Mexican cuisine in Maryland, the best dishes can be found at Tortilleria Sinaloa in Baltimore, according to a new list.

To put together a new column showcasing the best Mexican restaurants in every state, cooking website LoveFood.com looked at user reviews, awards and accolades to find out which establishments residents flock to for their fix of tacos, fajitas and guacamole. Staff members also took into account personal experiences when compiling the list.

According to the list, Tortilleria Sinaloa is worth a stop in Maryland.

This “small, unassuming and extremely popular” restaurant in Fells Point is appreciated by many for its delicious Mexican dishes, which range from freshly made tortillas to a dish with a Maryland twist.

“The Tilapia Fish Taco with Butter Sauce is seasoned with Old Bay, a Baltimore-born spice traditionally used to season chicken wings, crab and shrimp,” wrote the staff at LoveFood.com.

The Tortilleria Sinaloa also appears to be highly praised in online reviews, with tacos, tortilla chips and tamales frequently mentioned.

“The tacos came quickly and were huge. So fresh and flavorful that I rudely licked my fingers after each delicious bite,” raved one Yelp reviewer.
