The Universal Orlando Resort has just released a first look at the Helios Grand Hotel, which is expected to open next to Epic Universe next summer. Featuring an innovative resort design, the Helios Grand Hotel will be the first Universal hotel to offer guests direct access to the parks. The resort is located within Epic Universe, ensuring a seamless experience between the resort and the theme park.

Epic Universe will be the third park to join Universal Orlando Resort and will bring to life some of Universal’s most iconic franchises, including Super Nintendo World, Universal Monsters’ Dark Universe, How to train your dragon, And Harry Potter. Each area will be fully immersive, offering guests multiple attractions and experiences. In addition, the new park will also feature an entirely new, original concept, with Celestial Park taking guests into the cosmos. Not only will Celestial Park feature a handful of attractions, including the Stardust Racers roller coaster, a shopping mall, and a restaurant area, but the focal point will be the towering Universal Helios Grand Hotel.

Universal Orlando introduces new nostalgia offer

Universal Orlando’s latest offering is a mix of classic franchises and current animation hits in a fun event that’s perfect for the whole family.

In a post on the Discover Universal blog, fans got their first look at the brand new hotel today, inspired by the Mediterranean and named after Helios, the Greek god of the sun. The hotel will overlook the gardens of Celestial Park and feature intricate celestial patterns and constellations on the walls and ceilings. Additionally, the hotel will offer spacious suites, a private entrance to Epic Universe and Bar Helios, a rooftop bar and lounge that boasts 360-degree views of Epic Universe, as well as a variety of other dining options and arcade games, a complimentary fitness center and a Universal Resort Store. The hotel also offers immersive How to train your dragon Children’s suites where children can immerse themselves in the village of Berk.

The Helios Grand Hotel will be the eleventh hotel on Universal Orlando property, joining the Stella Nova and Terra Luna resorts, which are also set to open sometime next year. Featuring 500 rooms and 35 suites, it is designed to combine “immersion and relaxation” for a hotel stay like no other. It also marks the first time Universal Orlando guests will be able to access a park directly from their hotel. Guests will be able to walk almost directly from the new Stardust Racers roller coaster in Celestial Park to the hotel pool and Lotus Lounge Bar. Designed in collaboration with the team behind Epic Universe, the Universal Helios Grand Hotel ensures a seamless transition between a relaxing retreat and a thrilling theme park adventure, while providing a consistently majestic backdrop to Celestial Park.

The official opening date for Epic Universe and the Helios Grand Hotel has not yet been announced, but a summer 2025 date is expected. Bookings, pricing and more information on Universal Helios Grand Hotel and the Stella Nova and Terra Luna resorts will be available at a later date. While Epic Universe is still a few months away from opening, Universal Orlando Resort will kick off the Halloween Horror Nights season next week with a truly terrifying lineup. It seems Universal is determined to give guests a sensational lead-up to the opening of its new park.
