The stars of the US basketball team are still buzzing after winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and arguably no one enjoyed their time in France more than Devin Booker. Devin Booker crowned his second Olympic gold of the year after helping Team USA by shooting a team-best 56.5% three-point percentage, the fifth-highest percentage by a player in USA basketball history. The moment was also significant because it was Booker’s first Olympics wearing his first signature sneakers, the Nike Book 1.

Booker is clearly proud of the shoes, as he has been handing out free pairs all over Paris for fans to discover and collect for themselves. He recently touted two pairs of exclusive Nike Book 1 sneakers to commemorate his gold medal.

Basketball fans and sneakerheads are now familiar with the Nike Book 1 and its combination of wearability and exclusivity. The first few releases were hard to find, but the shoe’s popularity has fans clamoring for new colorways and widely available releases. The no-frills low-top design is reminiscent of an Air Force 1, but offers all the performance aspects of a top-tier basketball sneaker.

The shoes, which were teased on Booker’s IG, feature two colorways of white and navy premium leather. Both shoes have white midsoles and icy blue translucent outsoles. The most notable detail is the safari print along the Nike Swooshes, which appears in a multicolored iridescent hue. There is no information on a release yet, but don’t be surprised if these shoes continue to be exclusive to Devin Booker and his performance.

Booker also referred to it as the “I’ll do it” package – a direct reference to a tweet from Kyle Kuzma regarding the selection of the USA Basketball team’s roster. Booker’s short answer was perfect for the moment and clearly paid off with the eventual gold medal win.

Kuzma tweeted, “Anyone can be nice when they have the ball in their hands, but can you keep your cool when you’re defending and going to the corner for a few possessions?”, to which Booker responded with the perfect “I’ll do it” quote. Considering his team-best performance in hitting his three-pointers and several situations where his defense made the difference, it’s pretty clear that Booker kept his word and deserves the last laugh in this game.
