The perfected Ultra Instinct Goku looks serious in Dragon Ball Super with an aura of silver energy around him.

As Goku’s most current and powerful form, Ultra Instinct is technically a technique that Goku has masteredwhich allows him to think and act instinctively while giving him a free-flowing fighting method that keeps him comfortably at the top Dragon Ball‘s power rankings. By giving Goku silver hair, a shimmering aura with accents of spherical energy that soars to the sky, and an inner and outer calm that can be felt, aside from a design decision that simply swaps out the color of Goku’s hair, Ultra Instinct really feels like something fresh and not just another power boost.

Captioned “Migatte no Goku’i,” the Japanese term for Ultra Instinct, @sekora2000 illustrates Goku against a pitch-black background, using his painterly yet pastel art style in a way fans have never seen before on this character. It shows Goku preparing an energized fist, @sekora2000’s bright colors and strong use of shadows give this piece an epic feelwith the overlay of linework, sketchy doodles, and various color tones by @sekora2000, which not only shows what this creator brings to the table artistically, but also that Goku can work in an art style that doesn’t strictly follow Akira Toriyama’s lead.

It is still unclear when fans will see Goku reach Ultra Instinct again in the anime spacestill in the still interrupted Dragon Ball Super Manga, Ultra Instinct Goku has already fought with Beast Gohan and even teamed up with Ultra Ego Vegeta for some tag team shenanigans, showing how effective this technique can be in battle.
