After all, we all know that your chances of winning in a competitive MOBA are only as good as the character you choose.

In this HoK tier list, we rank all characters currently available in the game based on their overall performance across all game modes and roles. These tier lists (and the individual role tier list rankings below) are based in part on official data from HoK Camp (win, pick, and ban percentages) as well as our personal experience playing the game.

Honor of Kings Clash Lane Ranking
Clash Lane is generally best suited to fighters or fighter-tank hybrids, as this position requires a fighter with stamina and high damage output, capable of dominating enemies, taking out mobs, and occasionally split pushing.

Honor of Kings Mid Lane Rankings
The characters best suited to the mid lane are generally mages, not least because of their powerful ranged attacks. The mid lane is a bit of a flashpoint in terms of teamfights, as it is the shortest route between enemy crystals, so a mid laner’s main priority should be to clear minion waves and push as hard as possible to protect their own crystal.

Honor of Kings Farm Lane Ranking
The Farm Lane offers tons of gold and experience, and the best characters for this lane are generally snipers. Although sniper characters can deal a lot of damage, they also have little HP, meaning you’re pretty vulnerable in the Farm Lane and rely on executing well-thought-out strategies, farming enemy minions quickly, and getting a little help from support characters – especially in the early game.

Honor of Kings Jungle Leaderboard
As the name suggests, junglers focus on defeating jungle monsters to gain buffs, money, and EXP. They then move around the map and jump into battles to defeat enemy heroes and crystals. Currently, the best characters for the jungle role are generally assassins or fighters, mainly due to their high DPS and damage output.

Honor of Kings Roaming Games Ranking
Wandering heroes, also known as support heroes, play an important role in Honor of Kings matches – and they’re quite different from the way support heroes usually work in LoL. Instead of sticking to a DPS, support heroes in this game wander around the map, get a feel for the map and enemy locations, and then provide healing, buffs, and a helping hand to any allies who need it.

How do I unlock new Honor of Kings characters?
As with any MOBA, You can purchase Honor of Kings characters with in-game currencyHowever, there are many other ways to get new heroes.
If you’re a new player, you can choose your first hero right after installing the game. Then there’s the 7-Day New Player Login Event where you can get four heroes for free over the course of seven days. You can also get free heroes and skins from the shop using the Honor Points you earn from completing New Player Missions.
After that, you can get more heroes in the following ways:
- Events – During limited-time events like The Road to Greatness, you’ll receive free characters when you complete certain tasks or reach certain milestones, such as climbing ranks.
- Find friends and play matches – if you add a friend and then play three games with them, you will receive 100 diamonds and a bag of gold, which you can then use to purchase items and heroes in the in-game shop
