This coming Saturday, the 24th Annual Discflect World Championship presented by Kan Jam will take place at Buffalo RiverWorks. Disflect – formerly known as Kan Jam – is a recreational Frisbee sport that was “born” in Buffalo. For over two decades, fans of Disflect have traveled to Buffalo to compete in the annual Discflect World Championship – an event that welcomes all ages and skill levels and no prior qualification is required. There are two divisions for the World Championship – professional and amateur.
“After a tradition spanning over 30 years, there is a major world championship tournament in the sport of discflect every year. In the early years, this tournament was invitation-only, but since 1999 it has been open. Although under a different name, the PDFA has been running this tournament since 2007. In 2021, the sport was renamed Discflect, with the PDFA (Professional Discflect Association) acting as the governing body for the sport.” – PDFA
