Universal Orlando’s new luxury hotel will have an entrance to Epic Universe: Travel Weekly

Universal Orlando Resort has announced plans for its newest luxury property: the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel.

The 500-room resort is scheduled to open in 2025 as part of the highly anticipated Epic Universe theme park. It will be jointly owned and operated by Loews Hotels & Co.

Universal Helios Grand features a mix of Mediterranean and celestial-inspired design elements, as well as floor-to-ceiling windows in the lobby that offer views of Epic Universe’s Celestial Park.

Of particular note, the hotel will be the first Universal Orlando hotel with its own theme park entrance. The entrance is located right off the lobby and offers direct access to and from Epic Universe.

Accommodations include a mix of standard rooms and suites, some of which offer theme park views. The hotel will also offer How to Train Your Dragon children’s suites, themed after the Viking village of Berk from the popular film series.

Dining options include the full-service Mediterranean restaurant Flora Taverna, the cafe and grab-and-go concept Aurora Market, and Lotus Lagoon, a poolside bar and grill. Bar Helios, a rooftop lounge, serves tapas and cocktails and offers panoramic views of Epic Universe.

The property will also feature a pool with underwater speakers. The pool will be surrounded by cabanas. There will also be a fitness center, a game room and a Universal Orlando Resort Store.

Universal Helios Grand will be part of Universal’s new Signature Collection, one of three newly designed hotel categories designed to make it easier for guests to choose accommodations based on style and budget. The Signature Collection features full-service hotels with upscale service and dining options, while the Prime Value Hotels and Value Inns and Suites categories offer a mix of service and amenities at more affordable prices.

Like other Universal Orlando hotels, guests at Universal Helios Grand receive early park access, complimentary shuttle transportation, resort-wide charging privileges and merchandise deliveries.

With the addition of the Universal Helios Grand, Universal Orlando’s portfolio expands to 11 hotels.
