The Bookseller – News – Book Marketing Society announces 2nd quarter winners

The winners of the Book Marketing Society Award for the second quarter April to June 2024 were announced at a meeting last night (Wednesday 21 August).

Nearly 60 campaigns were submitted in seven categories by children’s and adult publishers, with awards evenly distributed across the industry. HarperFiction won the Adult Fiction Award for When the moon hatched.

Vintage won the Adult Non-Fiction category with its “clever” campaign for Rory Stewart’s Politics on the sidelines Paperback.

Amazon Publishing was able to win the first BMS contribution for the “Amazon TikTok House” event (at which six authors were guided through managing and building their own TikTok accounts) The jury praised “an innovative, author-centric campaign that focuses on the development of the author.” In the children’s category, Francis Lincoln Children’s won for its “dynamic, creative and comprehensive campaign” for Little people, big dreams: Taylor Swiftwhile Farshore’s team won the Young Adult category for their impressive campaign for The reappearance of Rachel Price.

Spotlight winners included Transworld for their campaign for Abroad in Japan and Angry Robot for their “no stone unturned approach” to incantation4th Estate was awarded for their Open Markets Edition campaign for Blue sisters.
