For Lorraine Kelly, grandparenting duties are already in full swing and she is busy decorating her grandson’s nursery while her daughter Rosie Smith prepares for the birth of her child.
Since Rosie announced she was pregnant with her first child, Lorraine, who is currently enjoying a summer break from her ITV show, has made no secret of her joy at becoming a grandmother. In May, the 64-year-old gushed that she had “never” seen her daughter “so beautiful” as she reached the sixth month of her pregnancy.
And now that Rosie’s due date is approaching, Lorraine has helped with the preparations and set up a nursery for the little one at her home.

In a post uploaded to her Instagram story, Rosie, 30, gave her fans a glimpse inside the space. In the snap, Rosie showed off the neutral colors of the room, which featured a combination of mushroom and white walls.
In keeping with the tranquil theme, the nursery also featured a beautiful bouclé bunny mobile. “Mum is creating her own nursery at home and this handmade bouclé bunny and moon bed mobile by @editandjoe is so special,” she wrote. “Can’t wait to see what else is planned! @lorrainekellysmith.”
The post comes as Rosie spoke about her pregnancy, explaining that she is enjoying the “final weeks” of her pregnancy. “Final weeks of me having fun and eating what I want @doughnuttime_uk,” the caption read.

In an interview with Bella Magazine, Lorraine spoke about her upcoming grandmother role and promised she will “not interfere too much” when her granddaughter is born later this year. “It’s the most exciting thing that’s happened to our family in a long time. It’s going to be really lovely,” she said.
“I just told Rosie, ‘I’m here for you, whatever you need.’ But she’s good, we have such a relationship that when I annoy her, she just says, ‘That’s enough, go home.'”
She added that she knows her daughter “will be the best mother” and that she intends to be called “Granny Smith,” which will be her “badge of honor.”
Meanwhile, the TV icon admitted in June that she was “more than excited” to become a grandmother as she shared a clip of Rosie browsing for baby clothes.
Lorraine’s fans responded by gushing over the impending arrival. “A grandchild is a whole new dimension of love. I’m a Grammy too. I’m so happy for all of you,” wrote one.
