LOCKHART, Texas – A teenager has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old, Lockhart police said.
Police said a juvenile suspect wanted for murder was arrested on August 21. The teenager was found at a home on the corner of East Market and Carver streets around 9:30 a.m.
The suspect attempted to flee but was arrested without incident.

The suspect is accused of murdering 20-year-old Carlos Sanchez on Friday, August 16.
In addition, four adult suspects were arrested for harboring a fugitive.
What happened on August 16th?
According to police, a 911 call came in around 3 a.m. on August 16 reporting a shot fired at a residential building near the corner of Rosewood and Trinity Streets.
Following the call, Lockhart police and EMS were dispatched to a second crime scene near South Colorado and Prairie Lea roads. When they arrived, they found Sanchez shot multiple times.
Sanchez was taken to a hospital in Kyle, where he succumbed to his injuries around 4 a.m.
This was Lockhart’s first murder in 2024.
