ARLINGTON, TX (August 21, 2024) – Texas Health Resources named to Companies That Care 2024® List by PEOPLE Magazine and Great Place to Work® – and ranks number 61.

The list highlights the leading U.S. companies that have achieved business success while delivering positive outcomes for employees, regardless of their job role, race, gender, sexual orientation, employment status or other demographic characteristics, according to Great Place to Work.®.

“We live by our Texas Health Promise: Individuals caring for individuals together, and treating people and their life experiences and beliefs with care and consideration is central to that,” said Barclay Berdan, CEO of Texas Health. “We are committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients while helping our employees and communities thrive.”

This is the fourth time Texas Health has received this recognition.

“We are proud to be recognized for building and sustaining an organization that promotes the successes and best work of our team members in serving our local communities,” said Carla Dawson, chief human resources officer for Texas Health.

The Companies that Care List is based on over 1.3 million employee survey responses and data from companies representing the experiences of more than 8.2 million employees. More than one million surveys were submitted by employees of companies considered for this year’s list, and these rankings are based on that feedback.

The Companies That Care ranking is one of several awards Texas Health has received recently. In April, Texas Health ranked 29th on AssetsThe 100 best employers® list – the highest among health systems recognized in 2024. Additionally, Texas Health was named to America’s Best Workplaces for 2024, receiving five stars – the highest rating given by Newsweek and the data company Plant-A Insights Group for organizations with over 5,000 employees.
