The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for much of south-central Pennsylvania.

The warning is in effect until 2 p.m. for York and Adams counties, as well as the following counties: Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan and Union.

As Debby moves through the region today, weak tornadoes could form and bring rain, wind and flooding.

The storm is expected to leave the area in the late afternoon or evening and bring nice weather for the weekend.

York County 911 reported a water rescue on West Canal Road near Robin Road.

Officials warned motorists not to drive through standing water and reminded them of the slogan: “Turn around, don’t drown.”

The Porters Fire Company reported in a Facebook post that Iron Ridge Road and Jacobs Mill Road were closed due to flooding.

In addition, Glatco Road was closed because large trees blocked the road.
