The USA basketball team at the Paris Olympics was made up of elite superstars – players who excel on their own teams and have the egos to match. Those egos were put aside, however, when the 12 players put on the Stars and Stripes and got to work. They developed a chemistry that was even evident in their social media posts. A new clip shows Stephen Curry, Devin Bookerand other stars who show this chemistry.
Curry’s heroics were one of the main reasons for winning the gold medal, but the players decided to talk about one of the unsung heroes in their chants. Anthony Edwards began the conversation, which was recorded by Booker’s cell phone cam;

Then Stephen Curry intervened:

Everyone replied: “I will do it.”
This last comment was ironic as it referred to Kyle Kuzmas post from last year, in which he asked someone to take on the role of role player. Devin Booker himself had responded to this post with exactly those three words.
This shows that the superstars not only appreciate his play, but also follow what’s happening in their basketball community. Curry’s mention of the Kuzma post at the most opportune time proved that they keep receipts, too.
The fact that the youngest star in their group, Edwards, led the recognition shows that he respects Booker. So did all the older veterans like LeBron James, Kevin Durant and others. It was a commendable act as they are all direct rivals of the Phoenix Suns superstar.
Anthony Edwards and Devin Booker look ahead to LA28
With the Paris Olympics over, the US team is now setting its sights on the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. As can be seen in another part of Booker’s vlog, Anthony Edwards and Devin Booker have apparently already made plans, where he begins by saying:

This shows that the two are already thinking about winning another gold medal, even if it will still be some time before that happens.
With players like LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant retiring soon, the future core will likely be based on the younger stars. Edwards and Booker will likely play larger roles on Team USA. If they continue their rise in the NBA, they will likely start in Los Angeles in 2028.
It’s a good sign for Team USA to have their sights set on winning Olympic gold medals. Edwards has made it clear he won’t compete in other formats, but at least the promise of competing for his country at the Olympics in his home country is reason enough for fans to get excited.
