Another three-digit day

Another three-digit day

Another hot day is in store for North Texas, but temperatures should be a little less hot than earlier in the week. This trend will continue in the coming days, with the hottest weather west and south of DFW, where a heat advisory remains in effect. Highs in these locations will be between 102 and 105 degrees. In DFW, highs will be around 100 degrees with a heat index of around 100-105 degrees. East of DFW, highs will be in the 90s.

Due to persistent dry, windy and hot weather, there remains an increased fire danger in areas west of US Highway 281.

Those looking for a longer cooling down period will have to expect maximum temperatures of around 38 degrees this weekend. Next week, temperatures are likely to be above 35 degrees.
