“You’re white, right? Are you half white?” Jesse Watters urges black co-host Harold Ford Jr. to wear the “White Dudes for Harris” hat

Fox presenter Jesse Watters urged his black Democratic co-moderator Harold Ford Jr. wearing a “White Dudes For Harris” hat, repeatedly insisting that the former congressman was “white” and asking if he was “half” as his colleague was hesitant to engage in the performance, prompting other guests to tell Watters to “stop.”

A post by Ford Jr. about the Harris campaign’s new merchandise shows a camouflage-print Harris Whale hat that resembles the red MAGA hats worn by the former president’s supporters. Donald TrumpWatters tipped his hat during the show on Thursday The Five They mock the campaign’s group-calling campaign, which aims to reach out to different groups of voters.

Ford Jr. asked, “Is Kamala trying to copy the red MAGA hat? The Harris campaign is making a million dollars on a Harris-Waltz camouflage hat that they called the new status symbol for Democrats. Did you order your camouflage hat or did you do something else?”

Watters held up another hat and replied, “I have a White Dudes For Harris hat here and I’m not going to wear it. For one thing, I don’t want to ruin my hair, and for another, I’m not for Harris, so I’m giving it to you.”

The moderator offered the hat to Ford Jr. and added, “…a white guy for Harris. You’re white, right? You’re white. Are you half?”

“I’ll give it to my father-in-law,” Ford Jr. admitted.

“No, you wear this, Harold,” Watters insisted. “I give this to you as a gift and you put it on your beautiful head.”

“I appreciate that,” said Ford Jr. “Red, white and blue.”

“Stop it, Jesse,” co-host Jeanine Pirro cut in.

Watters continued, “You’re not going to wear it, so you’re not a Harris supporter?”

“I am,” Ford Jr. replied, laughing sheepishly as he held the hat.

Watters scoffed, “You don’t want to ruin your hair, do you? Come on, Harold, put the hat on!”

Ford Jr. echoed Pirro’s sentiments and then asked her about the hat merchandise so the discussion could continue.
