2024 primary results: North, Coates, Wingerter, Bertoglio advance in race for Natrona County Commission

CASPER, Wyoming – Former commissioners Paul Bertoglio and Terry Wingerter, incumbent Dave North and challenger Casey Coates will compete for two open seats on the Natrona County Commission in the Nov. 5 general election, according to unofficial primary election results released by the Natrona County Clerk’s Office.

In the Republican primaries, the candidates performed better than their challengers Arthur Youngberg, Curt Simpson Jr., Rozmaring Czaban and former Commissioner Matt Keating.

The results are unofficial until certified by the county and state election boards. The vote totals are as follows, with the top four advancing to the primary:

  • Dave North (5,390 votes)
  • Casey Coates (4,716 votes)
  • Terry Wingerter (3,861 votes)
  • Paul C. Bertoglio (3,684 votes)
  • Matt Keating (3,011 votes)
  • Rozmaring Czaban (1,264 votes)
  • Curt Simpson Jr. (686 votes)
  • Arthur Youngberg (545 votes)
  • Entries (95 votes)

The two parties’ primary was exclusively Republican. When smaller parties such as the Constitution Party and the Libertarian Party nominated a candidate for this office, they had until August 19 at 5 p.m. to submit their application to the district court.

Independent candidates must submit their applications to the county clerk’s office by Aug. 26. A complete list of candidates should be available by the end of the day on Sept. 6, according to the Natrona County Clerk’s Office.
