I am working to win the 6th District primary.

I am working to win the 6th District primary.

I thank Reverend Nancy Jo Kemper for her support in the Democratic Congressional primary in Kentucky’s 6th District.

Kemper, winner of the congressional primary, knows better than the HL editorial team, which throws in a few questions in a half-hour Zoom session.

The HL failed to report on the District 6 candidate forums, and some facts are still appropriate.

Endorsed candidate Randy Cravens has raised $9,571.00 from a handful of people since July 2022. Our campaign has raised $45,203.34 from dozens of supporters since January 2024. While our totals are paltry by most standards, they demonstrate a willingness and ability to raise funds.

I have appeared at several Democratic caucuses and events at the district level (Bourbon, Fleming and Woodford) where all other candidates did not appear even once.

I am the only candidate who appears at all public candidate forums, whether via Zoom or in person.

In the campaign, I see a sharp contrast between the priorities of Representative Andy Barr and those of the voters of the 6th District, including his views on reproductive rights and predatory finance. Barr’s extreme position on women’s reproductive health and his ties to banks are The Topics of this campaign.

If being a standout candidate means not trying hard, not being able to raise money, avoiding district meetings and forums, and avoiding Andy Barr, then I’m glad to be in office.

Compared to our opponents, our campaign has done a better job of executing, addressing and explaining the issues that matter to our voters. I look forward to your vote on May 21.
