Fox’s Brit Hume praises Biden: “A really good-natured guy”

Chief political analyst at Fox News Brit Hume celebrated president Joe Biden as “really good-natured” on the second day of the Democratic National Convention.

Biden stepped down as likely nominee last month to make way for vice president Kamala Harriswho was nominated on Tuesday evening at the party convention broadcast by Fox News.

“The energy is high,” Hume said of the congress during his appearance at Jesse Watters PrimetimeHe then referred to the unusually long evening before, as Biden’s speech was postponed beyond prime time.

“And I think the program will move forward more quickly than it did last night, which was a fiasco in its own way. They fell so far behind. They couldn’t recover. They didn’t want to eliminate a speaker on abortion to make room … for their president.”

“Do you think they did this to Joe Biden on purpose?” Jesse Watters asked. “His team believes it wasn’t incompetence. It’s a conspiracy to screw him over.”

“I don’t think so,” Hume replied, adding that Biden had endeared himself to Democrats by defeating the former president Donald Trump in 2020.

“And another thing about Joe is that I’ve known him for a long time over the years,” Hume continued. “I was never necessarily a big fan of his. He’s a lovely – he’s a really good-natured guy. A lot of people have a lot of personal affection for him. And that remains the case. I think they really wanted to give him a big send-off, but they messed it up.”
