Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 postponed to first half of 2025

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 postponed to first half of 2025

This is the latest of several delays that have plagued Bloodlines 2, but Paradox Interactive remains committed to its release.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been delayed again. The game has gone through a very turbulent development cycle, with senior staff leaving or firing, developers being replaced, and several previous delays. Now it is being pushed back to the first half of 2025 as current developer The Chinese Room remains committed to fulfilling Paradox’s promise for this game.

Paradox Interactive revealed the details of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2’s recent delay in a developer blog post on the game’s website. Paradox claims that while Bloodlines 2 is “well positioned” to meet recent release dates, they have decided with Chinese Room to delay the game to the first half of 2025 to give it more time to polish it.

In 2021, one of the biggest changes to Bloodlines 2 came when Hardsuit Labs was pulled from development. Since then, The Chinese Room, the developers of Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs, have taken over that role. However, that hasn’t stopped Bloodlines 2 from continuing to experience a variety of delays, including the firing of longtime Vampire: The Masquerade writer Brian Mitsoda.

It remains to be seen what Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 will actually look like when it comes out, but with the release window set for the first half of 2025, there’s plenty of time to find out. Stay tuned as we continue to look out for updates on Bloodlines 2.
