Streaming service prices like to go up, but in this rare case, they’re going down. For a limited time, Paramount+ is slashing prices on its two annual plans. The cheapest option costs just $30 per year and includes the Essentials plan. This is the basic subscription that gives access to Paramount+ programming with ads.

However, it doesn’t offer access to Showtime. For that, the cost doubles to $60 per year. In addition to the secondary streaming service, this plan offers live streaming of CBS and the ability to download shows to a mobile device. This is also an ad-free plan, although live TV still contains commercials (for obvious reasons).
For the uninitiated, Paramount+ is home to most, but not all, of the new Star Trek shows. It also hosts the father-friendly Tulsa King and the Jeremy Renner vehicle Mayor of KingstownAs for the genre, there is the Sonic the Hedgehog spin off anklethe recently cancelled halo Show and a remake of Stephen King’s The stand.
Showtime, on the other hand, is a long-standing cable institution that is considered the “little brother of HBO.” The platform offers access to hit series such as Yellow Jackets, Billions And The ChiThe network also has a number of older properties, including Dexter, Ray DonovaN, Shameless and much more. After all, it is the best way to Twin Peaks: The Returnthis is so damn good.
These deals are only valid until September 6th, after which the discounts disappear into thin air. The usual prices for these annual plans are $60 for Essential and $120 for the Showtime package. The monthly subscription costs are constantly increasing.
