Former Fox News host Meg Kelly made a racist comment as Senator Laphonza Butler spoke at the Democratic Party Convention on Monday. Laphonza Butler is a long-time friend of the Vice President Kamala Harris and was her advisor when Kamala Harris was Attorney General of California. Megyn Kelly had a problem when Laphonza said she and Kamala Harris both had a historical Black Colleges“Imagine the white person up there: I am proud to tell you that I went to a predominantly white university,” Megyn wrote, and was condemned for her “disgusting” attack.
Journalist Joan Walsh responded: “Are you stupid?” “What has made you dumber than your Black Santa idiocy?” Atlantic editor Norman Orstein wrote: “Megyn Kelly. Racist embarrassment.”

“Was there a time when white people were denied access to universities and therefore there was a need to create alternative institutions to combat systematic oppression? No? Maybe that explains the difference?” says Tim Miller of The Bulwark.
“Why have black people historically had to create their own institutions, Megyn? I’ve been practicing history and all forms of knowledge with pride, Dunning-Krueger style, for decades, for God’s sake,” said The Nation columnist Kali Holloway.
Columnist Laura Bassett wrote: “I ask you to read a history book, any normal American history book, to understand the difference.”
“You haven’t learned anything since you were fired from NBC for racist comments, have you? Ma’am, white people have never been denied access to universities because of their race. That’s why HBCUs have to exist in the first place. And also because of people like you,” wrote one journalist.
“There is a 1000 percent chance that Megyn Kelly will tweet the N-word before the election,” said one comment.
