Michael Madsen, a famous American actor, has once again gotten into trouble, this time in California. According to a police report obtained by Entertainment Weekly, police officers were called to Malibu because of a domestic dispute between the actor and his wife. Madsen’s wife claimed that he had violently evicted her from their shared apartment and refused to let her return. Madsen was then taken into custody.
According to Madsen’s representative, an argument broke out between the actor and his wife DeAnna Madsen on Monday (local time), as Variety reported. It was hoped that the situation would be resolved peacefully between the two parties. Madsen was released from custody after posting bail of $20,000 (around 18,000 euros). The couple has been married since 1996.
The troubled actor, who often plays menacing roles, rose to prominence through his work with director Quentin Tarantino. His impressive resume includes roles in Tarantino’s films such as “Reservoir Dogs,” “Kill Bill,” “The Hateful Eight” and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” He has also appeared in “Thelma & Louise,” “Wyatt Earp,” “Die Hard 2” and “James Bond: Die Another Day.”
Following their disagreement, Michael Madsen expressed his feelings through music, singing “♪I will not lie♪,” perhaps reflecting the complexity of their situation. Despite the turmoil, friends and family remain hopeful for a reconciliation between the couple.
