Cookies N’ Cream brings “the sweet life” to Bronxville

Cookies N’ Cream brings “the sweet life” to Bronxville

A balanced diet is a piece of cake.

That’s the motto of the staff at Cookies N’ Cream in Bronxville, which serves tons of sweets to people throughout Westchester County.

“I’ve always been a foodie,” said Joseph Edwards, owner of Cookies N’ Cream. “I’ve always loved food. I’m from Italy and I always helped my mom in the kitchen. (And) made Italian delicacies… So I love to cook and bake.”

As a native of the Eastchester/Bronxville area, Edwards wanted to give his hometown a taste of the sweet life, but the road to getting there wasn’t always easy.

“We opened in June of the year of COVID,” he explained, “so it was a big challenge.”

After being stuck at home for months, the residents were delighted to open the store.

“We’ve been busy since day one,” Edwards said. “The community welcomed us with open arms and everything has been running smoothly since then.”

Four years later, Edwards continues to create a mix of classic and original recipes that keep his guests coming back.

“I hired two CIA-trained chefs from the Culinary Institute of America,” he said. “We developed 25 patented cookie base recipes topped with homemade ice cream… Our most popular cookies are the legendary Outrageous Chocolate Chip Cookie, our Cookies and Cream Cookie, our Stuffed Nutella and our Stuffed Churro Cookie.”

As for the future, Edwards has many secret ideas up his sleeve.

“You always want to offer your customers something new and exciting,” he hinted. “So we’re always looking for ways to take something to the next level.”

Cookies N’ Cream’s original location is at 10 Park Place in Bronxville, but Edwards is working on franchising the business in other areas. Another Westchester location recently opened at the Cross County Center in Yonkers. The business has also expanded outside of the Hudson Valley, with an opening at 64-62 Dry Harbor Road in Queens.

Edwards said he plans to open another location in Nanuet and northern New Jersey in the near future.
