Record visitor numbers and visitor spending in The Palm Beaches announced for first half of 2024

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – August 19, 2024 – Discover The Palm Beaches (DTPB), the tourism marketing organization for Palm Beach County, along with the Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council (TDC), announced record visitor numbers to The Palm Beaches for the first half of 2024. This milestone underscores the growing appeal of the destination and the effectiveness of DTPB’s strategic marketing initiatives.

From January to June 2024, the Palm Beaches welcomed 5.19 million visitors, reaching an all-time high compared to the same period in previous years. This increase in visitors cements the island’s status as a premier vacation destination, offering 75 kilometers of pristine and uncrowded beaches, vibrant culture and genuine hospitality as a lifestyle.

The most important highlights include three Record amounts:

  • Total number of visitors: The Palm Beaches recorded an all-time high of 5.19 million visitors, an increase of 1.7% compared to the first half of 2023.
  • International visit: The number of international visitors rose to a historic high of 488,100 visitors, an increase of 11.9% compared to the first half of 2023.
  • Strengthening the economy: Visitor spending reached an all-time high of $4.05 billion, up 2.4% from the first half of 2023, contributing to the region’s economic vitality.
