Machine Gun Kelly makes a heartbreaking revelation about how his daughter helped him get sober

Machine Gun Kelly said his young daughter helped him get sober after she made a revelation that “broke his heart.”

The rapper, born Colson Baker, 34, spoke in a recent episode of Game worth millions of dollars Podcasts.

But it was his daughter, Casie Baker, who helped him decide to get sober after he was surprised by an observation she made.

He decided that her revelation was the first step to help, and on Stupid blonde Podcast that he has been completely sober since last August.

He said: “I haven’t told anyone except those closest to me.

“That was the first time I had ever been to rehab.

“They showed me so many ways to influence the body, to show where this anger comes from and methods to suppress it.

“I continue to realize that this journey will be hard for me, but I accept it and forgive myself.

“I am also very strict with myself and very self-ironic.”

About his abstinence he said: “I don’t drink anymore.

“I haven’t had anything to drink since last August.”

Of the first conversation he had when he believes his daughter was about 11 or 12 years old, he said: “It started with my daughter saying, ‘Dad, do you know I can tell when you’re high?’ That broke my heart.”

“It was the ultimate disappointment.”

He continued: “It took a while after that because the drugs obviously have a firm grip on you.

“That was the first step for me.

“To be the father I believe my father would have been, as a father and as a man, I must break this generational curse for my child.”

In July, he shared a collection of photos of him and Casie on Instagram for her 15th birthday.

In the first photo, the father-daughter duo can be seen posing together under a giant pink heart-shaped balloon arch, complete with pink balloon letters spelling out “HBD Casie.”

In the caption of the post, he lovingly wrote: “The world keeps spinning but when I look at you, it stops. Happy 15th, princess.”

He shared more pictures, including some heartwarming memories of when his daughter was much younger and played his guitar.

Recently, the teenager and her father watched a basketball game, relaxed on the beach and rode a motorcycle.
