EnerMech secures two major pre-commissioning contracts for pipelines

EnerMech has been awarded two significant pre-commissioning contracts for pipelines offshore East Malaysia, representing a significant milestone in the expansion of its key pipeline and subsea activities in the region in both deep and shallow waters.

These contracts were signed with two prime contract customers, both supporting the developments of the same multinational operator in the region.

The first scope of work includes commissioning work at a depth of 1,300 metres, while the second scope of work will take place in shallow waters.

EnerMech’s multi-skilled team will perform a range of highly specialised services for both clients, including flooding, cleaning, measuring and testing, dewatering and nitrogen filling of subsea umbilicals, risers and flowlines.

The company has extensive experience in the region and has successfully supported its customers’ needs since its establishment in Asia in 2009. Over the last 15 years, it has expanded its geographic presence in Asia with subject matter experts at its operating locations in Asia and further afield in the Americas, Europe, Australia and the AMEC regions. In Asia, EnerMech’s focus countries are Singapore, Malaysia (regional headquarters), Indonesia and China.

Charles “Chuck” Davison Jr., CEO of EnerMech, said: “Asia is a key region for the Company as it has significant offshore oil and gas reserves that continue to attract investment. These two new contracts are in line with our strategic vision to expand our pipeline and subsea capabilities in the region to meet the current needs of the sector and the expected larger projects on the horizon.

“EnerMech is in a strong position to win additional subsea pipeline and umbilical commissioning projects as we have many years of experience delivering similar project solutions around the world. This enables our teams to combine the knowledge, experience and lessons learned with the skills required to deliver exceptional value, efficiency and results to our customers every time.”

Behzad Kazerani, Chief Business Development Officer and General Manager for Asia at EnerMech, added: “Our customers view our offices in Asia and Malaysia as a centre of excellence for their global pipeline and subsea activities. Therefore, EnerMech is well positioned to support their regional projects with the required technical expertise combined with state-of-the-art equipment and deliver the required technical and innovative solutions.”
