An online retailer has released the first high-resolution images of this year’s LEGO Harry Potter direct-to-consumer set 76437 The Burrow, the Collector’s Edition.
First teased by a LEGO Certified Store and then mistakenly revealed by the LEGO House Instagram account, 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition expands the Weasleys’ house to 2,405 pieces, far surpassing any of the previous playset versions of the random house. The increased budget allowed for a fully enclosed structure that opens up to reveal a detailed interior.
We already knew that much from the first looks at The Burrow, but now German retailer Lucky Bricks has released even more images of the upcoming Wizarding World set on Instagram. This includes a closer look at what’s going on inside the set, with a wealth of references and details packed into each of the relatively tight spaces – from the dishes that wash themselves in the kitchen to Ron’s Chudley Cannons poster and bedspread.
We also got a closer look at the 10 minifigures included in 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, including Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Fred Weasley, George Weasley, Ginny Weasley, Percy Weasley, Bill Weasley and Charlie Weasley. This is the latter two characters’ debut in the LEGO Harry Potter range, and a rare case of the designers taking a character specifically from the books (Charlie never appeared on screen).
We’re still waiting for pricing confirmation for 76437 The Burrow Collectors’ Edition, but Lucky Bricks says it will hit shelves on September 1, coinciding with previous LEGO Harry Potter flagship sets like 75978 Diagon Alley and 76417 Gringotts Wizarding Bank Collectors’ Edition. Early adopters will also likely receive the two newly revealed Wizarding World gifts with purchase: 5009008 Collectible Weasley Clock and 40695 Borgin and Burkes: Floo Network.
