Raye & Sawyer-Spielberg film “Merry Good Enough” is released in the UK

EXCLUSIVE: The sensational Christmas film Happy good enough starring Raye and Sawyer Spielberg will be released in the UK on November 11th by Kaleidoscope Home Entertainment.

The company’s distribution arm, Kaleidoscope Film Distribution (KFD), has also secured international sales rights to the film, with a limited theatrical release planned in the United States this winter.

Described as “tough,” the Christmas film was directed by Caroline Keene and Dan Kennedy and is about a dysfunctional family who survive the holiday season together after their mother disappears on Christmas Eve.

Raye Spielberg plays Lucy Raulie alongside Joel Murray (mad Men), the charismatic but difficult patriarch of the family. The ensemble is rounded off by Sawyer Spielberg (Master of the skies) as Lucy’s reserved neighbor Sam together with Susan Gallagher (Cobra Kai), Neil Casey (Ghost Hunters), Comfort Clinton (FBI) and Sophie von Haselberg (Give me pity).

Keene and Kennedy co-directed the film from a screenplay by Keene. Happy good enough is produced by Vagrants Originals. Producers include Jamieson Shea, Krista Minto, Genevieve Skehan, Shawn Gauvain and Christian Hall.

“We are happy, Happy good enough an international audience and are confident that our partners will recognize the originality and quality of the screening,” said Spencer Pollard, CEO of Kaleidoscope Film Distribution. “We look forward to presenting the film at TIFF.”

Keene and Kennedy added: “Led by Raye Spielberg’s indelible portrayal of the sharp-witted yet warm-hearted Lucy, we couldn’t be more excited to present our version of a Christmas classic.”
