Political pundits and journalists have sharply criticized former Fox News host Megyn Kelly for a racist comment she posted on X on Monday night during coverage of the first night of the Democratic National Convention.

The Nation columnist Kali Holloway added, “Why have black people historically had to create their own institutions, Megyn? I have proudly viewed history and all forms of knowledge as Dunning-Krueger for decades, my God.”

Laura Bassett, election columnist at The Cut, wrote: “I ask you to read a history book, any normal American history book, to understand the difference.”
