She revealed that the friction created “sensitive areas,” but the film’s costume designer, Marlene Stewart, was more concerned with protecting Channing Tatum’s face.

“Anyone who wears sequins like we do,” she explained to presenter Zoe Ball, “knows what comes with it, namely that the areas are sensitive when you wear an outfit like that for several hours.”

“But our costume designer was more worried about me scratching Channing’s face with it,” she added. “She didn’t care if I was in pain, she just wanted to make sure Channing’s face was unharmed, and I thought to myself, ‘What is here?'”

“She didn’t care,” Bullock joked. “She wanted to make sure Channing’s beautiful face was intact, and that was it.”
