Final Fantasy XVI

The first full-fledged action RPG in the main game Final Fantasy Series. An epic dark fantasy world where the fate of the land is decided by the powerful Eikons and the Dominants who wield them. This is the story of Clive Rosfield, a warrior bestowed with the title of First Shield of Rosaria and sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the Dominant of the Phoenix. It’s not long before Clive becomes embroiled in a great tragedy and vows vengeance on the dark Eikon Ifrit, a mysterious entity who brings mischief. Clive has a wealth of powerful sword-fighting techniques and Eikon skills at his disposal – and it’s up to you to choose which ones to learn or improve. If you’re having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.

The Story-Focused Mode is recommended for players who are not so familiar with action games and want to focus more on the story elements of the game. In this mode, Clive will automatically dodge some attacks and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. The Action-Focused Mode, where Clive’s every move is controlled by the player, is available to anyone who is confident in their skills – or wants to test them.
