Congratulations are in order for Lucy Fallon, who has announced that she is pregnant with her second child. The Coronation Street actress shared the happy news on Instagram on Monday, August 19, by sharing an emotional video with her 570,000 followers.

In the video, the 28-year-old shared a series of snaps from her pregnancy, including a pregnancy test and another of her cradling her baby bump. In one particularly cute snap, her one-year-old son Sonny Jude can be seen holding a series of pregnancy scans.

In April, the actress spoke about her desire to expand her brood on an episode of ITV’s Drama Queens. During a discussion, the pair discussed their future family plans, with Ryan suggesting: “Maybe one more,” before Lucy countered his point with her own, arguing: “Two more.”

Meanwhile, in 2022, Lucy spoke to OK! about her pregnancy with Sonny, explaining that she was “lucky” to get pregnant after sadly suffering a miscarriage earlier this year. “We’re very lucky that it happened again,” she said. “We didn’t put any pressure on ourselves, and I tried not to put any pressure on myself, and then it just happened for us. It was obviously just meant to be.”

Lucy also spoke about the moment she found out she was pregnant with Sonny, explaining that her partner Ryan wasn’t the first person she told. “I just had a feeling I was pregnant. I did a test and the test came back straight away. I actually told my mum before I told Ryan! I spoke to her on FaceTime straight away because I felt like my eyes were playing tricks on me,” she said.

“Then Ryan came home from training and I had the test in my hand and just said, ‘This happened!'”

Ryan added: “It was a bit of a surprise to see something like that from training.” He continued: “I was a bit shocked because we’ve been through all that and I didn’t think it would happen so quickly. But we picked ourselves up and it felt like the next stage for us. It felt like it was meant to be.”
