Daniel Radcliffe has said what about his Harry Potter future?

Daniel Radcliffe has said what about his Harry Potter future?

Daniel Radcliffe says no one has contacted him about a future Harry Potter film.

The 32-year-old actor, who rose to worldwide fame playing the title role in the film adaptations of JK Rowling’s books, was asked earlier this month which other character he would like to play in the wizarding series if given the opportunity.

When asked about this possibility in a chat with SiriusXM this week, Daniel admitted that he didn’t suddenly start taking calls from studio bosses after the first interview.

He said, “No, that didn’t happen. I think I remember correctly. The question was more of a hypothetical one: Who else would you have liked to have played in this series?”

“Um, but yeah, it’s – there’s always going to be, you know, talk about something, um, but it’s really, really always a lot more in the media than in reality.

“For example, I’ve never been contacted by anyone about future ‘Harry Potter’ films. So, you know, it’s – I don’t think anything like that is, uh, coming.”

“But of course I have only myself to blame, having said that they will definitely do it.”

Earlier this month, Daniel answered the question about his role in a possible reboot, revealing that he would like to play Sirius Black and Professor Remus Lupin, portrayed by Gary Oldman and David Thewlis.

He said, “I’d probably take Sirius or Lupin.

“Those were always the two characters where I thought, ‘They’re great.’ And then of course I’m biased by my experience of shooting those scenes with those people, and they’re some of my fondest memories.”

And even though the franchise is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, Daniel has no plans to properly celebrate the occasion as he is busy with work.

Last month he said: “I’m in the Dominican Republic filming right now. After that I’ll be busy until the end of the year working on things.”

“So, yeah, I don’t know. I’m sure there will be some kind of celebration, but I don’t know if we’ll get together or anything. I’m sorry if this is a little disappointing to anyone.”
