The Epic Games Store is known for offering free games, and sometimes these 100% discount deals are just too good to pass up. On August 22, the hit title KRAFTON will be added The Callisto Protocol And Gigantic: Rampage Edition.
The two titles will be available for free between August 22nd and 29th, and if you download both during that time, you’ll get $70 worth of content absolutely free.
The Callisto Protocol originally released in 2022 on various platforms, and player reviews at the time were not positive. Players were baffled by the contrast between the spooky atmosphere and the clunky combat, which focuses heavily on melee patterns and combos. Admittedly, if you’re a Dead space-like, terrifying journey through a futuristic sci-fi horror film, then it’s understandable that you won’t exactly disappear from the scene when you’re forced into hand-to-hand combat with recurring infected and mutated enemies.
However, The Callisto Protocol has received various updates and additions since its initial release, with New Game + and Hardcore Mode now included in the base game. There is also DLC with more animations and different modes to try out, although these are not included in the free offering.
If you’re looking for something linear to sink your teeth into, save at least $59.99 by claiming: The Callisto Protocol during its time as one of the Epic Games Store’s freebies of the week, and if you were put off by the early reviews, perhaps the post-launch updates will convince you.
Gigantic: Rampage Edition is a 5 vs 5 Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) developed by Arc Games and released in April 2024. It is described as “a first-class and definitive release of the original GIGANTICwhich was released in 2017. The game normally costs $19.99, so this is definitely a good deal.
In Gigantic: Rampage Editionn you can choose your own unique (and sometimes adorable) hero and team up with four other players to defeat your opponent’s Guardian. The Rampage Edition includes everything from the original 2017 version, plus various game modes, cross-platform play, new heroes like Roland and Kajir, new maps like Picaro Bay, and much more.
