A classic in keeping with the times

The festival is back again this year, even though it is 76 years old. Check out the program!

The legendary Nice Jazz Festival has changed its name to Nice Jazz Fest! A small change that indicates some changes in the organization of the festival. A children’s club and a comedy club are making their debut. As in previous years, the purists will be at the Théâtre de Verdure, while fans of trendy artists will be at Place Masséna.

This week, August 20-23, music lovers and curious visitors come together to enjoy the sounds of some of the world’s greatest artists.

A delicious selection

The 2024 edition has pulled out all the stops to cater to all tastes. From legends of the genre to emerging talents and the most avant-garde artists, the program is rich and varied.

Nas, a rap icon and son of a jazz musician, celebrates the 30th anniversary of his first album, while Jungle rocks the stage with a mix of funk and disco. Fans of more traditional jazz will not be disappointed with performances by Monty Alexander and Alfredo Rodriguez.

A festive and fun atmosphere

In addition to the concerts, the festival will also feature a festive event. Of course, there will also be a village where you can taste local specialties.

A kids’ club has also been announced, offering children ages 4 to 10 a fun introduction to music while their parents enjoy the concerts.

There will also be a comedy club in the village where people can laugh and get in the mood between concerts.

Not to mention the various events taking place throughout the city. For more information, visit the NJF website.
