  • 🙌 It brings the world of card trading to mobile

  • 🆕 A new trailer shows how you can collect packages, trade and fight

  • 🤩 It will definitely be popular when it comes out

At the closing ceremony of the 2024 Pokémon World Championships, Tsunekazu Ishihara, President and CEO of The Pokémon Company, announced that the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will be released on Android and iOS devices on October 30, and pre-registration is now open.

That’s all well and good, but once I see the game’s new trailer, I just want to give up my entire wallet and embark on an expensive and undoubtedly futile mission to catch them all.

I’ve managed to avoid the Pokémon collecting craze that still persists today. But this… this seems so accessible, visually stimulating, and designed that I’m almost helpless to resist its temptation. “But look, you get two free booster packs every day!” I’ll inevitably tell my partner when she gets fed up with my new bad habit.

This game could be another huge hit for the Pokémon Company, and they’ve already had success in the mobile market with Pokémon Go. Not only can you collect cards, but you can also trade them with friends, have quick battles, and love looking at beautiful, immersive cards. It looks fantastic.

We are still waiting for an update on Pokémon Legends: ZA for Nintendo Switch, which could become the next multimillion-seller for developer Game Freak. There is a possibility that the game will be a Nintendo Switch 2 launch title unless we hear something else soon, which would be a huge incentive for new buyers.
