People’s Postcode Lottery delivers good news with comedian Tom Allen

People’s Postcode Lottery has launched a new integrated campaign featuring comedian Tom Allen. The campaign was conceived and developed in-house at People’s Postcode Lottery, while tag company The Gate Films handled all film production. The films, shot across the UK over two weeks, were directed by The Gate’s New York-based director Vince Peone, known for his work with numerous A-list celebrities including Ryan Reynolds, Kylie Jenner and 2 Chains.

The campaign also features the prototype of Morris’s upcoming electric van, which Tom will drive around the UK “delivering good news”.

“Delivering good news is our thing. Tom does it perfectly and the campaign has been handled brilliantly by Vince and the team at The Gate Films. Dealing with so many moving parts such as celebrity schedules, the ever-changing British weather and multi-million pound prototypes is no easy task but the team put together a seamless production and I think the huge effort and commitment to the work throughout production really comes across on screen,” says Mark Harrison, Creative Director at People’s Postcode Lottery.

James Shannon, production manager at The Gate and executive producer on the project, comments: “Tom was a dream. The trick was to arrange all the logistics so that he and Vince had as much time as possible to deliver great performances. They got on brilliantly and I’m sure audiences will see that in the films.”

The first of many new spots will be broadcast on TV from August 18th.
