The New York Mets And The Seattle Mariners will compete in 2025 “MLB Little League Classic presented by New York Life”, in Williamsport, PennsylvaniaThe game will take place on Sunday, August 17th. 17, 2025 and serves as a home game for the Mets, will be broadcast nationwide exclusively on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” at 7:00 p.m. (ET). The special eventorganized in connection with The Little League Baseball World Series will also be available on ESPN Radio, the ESPN app and ESPN Deportes.
As is tradition at this annual event, of both The Mets And Sailors will participate in Little League World Series games earlier in the day in August 17thand thereby demonstrate their commitment to promoting football at youth level and appealing to young fans. Later in the evening, Little League World Series players and their families will fill Journey Bank Ballpark at historic Bowman Field for the Little League Classic game.

The Little League Classic was created in August 2017 between the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals. The Mets are participating in the Little League Classic for the second time, having faced the Philadelphia Phillies in 2018. Subsequent events have included the Pirates and Chicago Cubs in 2019, the Cleveland Guardians and Los Angeles Angels in 2021, the Baltimore Orioles and Boston Red Sox in 2022, the Washington Nationals and Phillies in 2023, and the New York Yankees and Detroit Tigers in 2024.
The Little League Baseball® The World Series is an international championship tournament for children ages 10-12 held annually in Williamsport, the headquarters of Little League International. Countries from around the world compete on a global stage each year. Games are broadcast on ESPN and ABC and streamed on the ESPN app. Little League International has expanded the team pool in 2022, increasing the championship tournament to a total of 20 teams.
