Machine Gun Kelly talks about his fiancée Megan Fox’s miscarriage in his latest single

Creative people tend to heal through art, and Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox are no exception. In Fox’s poetry collection Pretty Boys Are Poisonous: Poemswhich was released in November 2023, she spoke to MGK about a miscarriage she had, sharing her pregnancy loss in a deep and personal way. And through his art, Kelly shared his experience with Fox’s miscarriage in his latest single.

In “Don’t Let Me Go,” Kelly wrote, “How can I live with the fact that my hand wasn’t on her belly when we lost the baby,” referring to Fox’s miscarriage.

In the poem Fox wrote about the incident, which is about an ultrasound scan of a baby girl at ten weeks and one day old, she says, “…maybe if you hadn’t done it…maybe if I had…” She also writes, “I’m willing to pay any price. Please tell me, what is the ransom for her soul?”

MGK and Megan Fox have one child together and are a blended family from previous relationships, which includes three children from Fox’s previous relationships and a daughter from MGK’s previous relationship.

MGK’s daughter Casie Colson Baker is 14 and he shares her with Emma Cannon. Fox’s children include Noah, Bodhi and Journey, whom she has with ex-husband Brian Austin Green.

This is not the first time MGK has spoken about her miscarriage. According to Vanity FairKelly sang his song “Twin Flame” at the Billboard Music Awards in May 2022 and said he wrote it “for my wife.” He ended the performance by saying, “And this is for our unborn child.”

In an interview with Women’s clothing for everyday wearFox spoke about her losses – she had an ectopic pregnancy when she was younger and then suffered a miscarriage at ten weeks with Kelly.

“This experience was so much harder than I expected, and I really analyzed, ‘why was that? Why was that so difficult for me?'” she shared with the publication.

“When I was younger, I had an ectopic pregnancy. I’ve experienced other things that I won’t say because God forbid the world would be thrown into turmoil. But I’ve gone through other similar problems, but not with someone I was so in love with,” she says of Kelly.

Hopefully the couple was able to heal at least a little by sharing the pain and difficulties that come with the miscarriage through their art.
