Clemson Football – Three players are on the candidate list for the 2024 Lombardi Award

On Thursday, the Rotary Club of Houston announced 90 players on this year’s Lombardi Award nominees.

Since 1970, the Lombardi Award has been given to the “offensive or defensive lineman who demonstrates exceptional performance and ability and embodies the character and discipline that Vince Lombardi displayed throughout his life,” as the award’s website explains. To date, no Clemson player has won the award.

Notable winners include Julius Peppers, Ndamukong Suh, Aaron Donald and Will Anderson. This year, the Rotary Club selected 11 players from the ACC, including linebacker Barrett Carter, offensive tackle Blake Miller and defensive tackle Peter Woods from Clemson.
