Maddy shared a picture of the image she saw on the camera on TikTok, which showed the jungle animal apparently standing on its forearms right in front of the sofa.
“I just looked at my baby monitor and saw a GIANT GORILLA IN MY HOUSE????” she captioned it.

While trying to figure out where the animal had gone, she eventually realized that her son’s toy gorilla had been left near the security camera, making it seem like the monkey was in her house.
“I’ve never rushed over to see what the hell makes it look like that!” laughed Maddy.
The comments section was almost instantly filled with people hysterical about their hilarious mishap.
“Now I know what this looks like. I will keep playing pranks on you,” wrote one.
To which Maddy replied: “Please don’t, I was really panicking!”
“This really made me laugh,” added another.
“I actually haven’t stopped laughing about it since it happened,” Maddy replied.

“No, because can you imagine if it hadn’t been there when you looked? How confusing!” laughed another.
