Marlon Wayans ends feud with DJ Vlad with epic mic drop

Marlon Wayans has signaled the end of a slight back-and-forth between him and DJ Vlad. The two men have been at odds on social media for two days. His mic drop came on Sunday (August 18) when he tweeted, “Game Over” along with Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Earlier in the morning, Wayans posted a series of tweets mocking the Vlad TV creator for his hair transformation. His comedic quips included comparing media before and after photos to scenes from Michael Jackson’s “Black or White” music video and saying his beard looked like it had been hit by an animal on the road.

However, the multi-hyphenated entertainer took the gloves off as he wrote, “Look DJ Vlad, this is the moment you’ve been begging for. I asked you to LEAVE ME ALONE. Let it go. But you wanna step in a bees nest. You can’t compete with me bro. I AM (A) LEGEND. And occasionally I step down from the throne to fight with (minions) like you. Keep going. There are different levels to this crap.” He also explained that his cyber enemy is “hated by the urban community,” as he asked, “(You) mad you can’t exploit me?”

The Ukrainian-American businessman did not find the jibes very funny. He replied that Wayans was a member of the LGBTQ+ community and that he should bring his film talents to the adult industry.

While the comedy veteran let his jokes fly, he noted that Vlad’s approach was to “exploit black people and put down gay people.” The New York native is openly supportive of the community and even revealed that he is the proud father of two children, one of whom identifies as transgender.

The exchange began on Friday (August 16) when the comedian’s fans learned of an interview Vlad had conducted with former “Mad TV” star Aries Spears. At one point in the conversation, the interviewer revealed that Wayans would only agree to appear on the controversial VladTV platform if he was paid $40,000 and that he would receive 30 percent of the remaining proceeds from the likely lengthy conversation, which would have been split into numerous videos with endless views.

The terms were never agreed upon and the comic has not yet appeared on the YouTube channel. When one of the “Bel-Air” actor’s supporters tweeted that he should have asked for more, Wayans responded nonchalantly: “See, I tried to tell him I’m giving him a deal… oh well.” From then on, Vlad called the Respect outstanding “delusion”.
