CLAY COUNTY, Florida. – Visitors to the Clay County Library can borrow a tablet starting Monday to read a selection of digital newspapers and magazines.
According to the county, 14 tablets were purchased through an innovation grant from NEFLIN (Northeast Florida Library Information Network). iPads will be available in branches beginning August 19, with Android tablets to follow soon after. Visitors will be able to choose between the two when both are available.

Libby Magazines
Visitors must be at least 18 years old to borrow a tablet and can only borrow one tablet at a time with a government-issued ID or driver’s license. Loan periods are two hours, with an optional two-hour extension, officials said.

Visitors may only use these tablets in the library to read the designated newspapers and Libby magazines. Visitors cannot reserve these tablets or request them at another branch.
