Connor Cruise gives a rare insight into his private life.

Although he usually keeps his private life private and doesn’t post often on social media, the son of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman shared two photos to his Instagram Stories on Saturday, August 17, showing him spending time with friends.

In the first snap, Connor, 29, posed alongside a friend on a walkway with a rocky beach and sunset in the background. Wearing a black T-shirt, black cap, white shorts and grey sneakers, he gave the camera a thumbs up while his other hand rested on his friend’s shoulder.

“Happy birthday,” Connor wrote in the caption, adding a tag for his buddy.

He next shared a photo that showed him on a boat with a group of friends on what appeared to be a fishing trip. Connor sat in the middle of the group of four men, holding up a huge fish as the group smiled. For the outing, the keen angler wore a printed hooded top, grey shorts and protected himself from the sun with a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses.

The snap appeared to be another opportunity for him to celebrate a friend’s birthday, as he captioned the photo, “Happy birthday buddy!!,” and tagged a fellow fishing fan.

Connor was adopted by Tom, 62, and Kidman, 57, shortly after his birth in 1995, a few years after they adopted their daughter Isabella Jane. He also has several half-siblings: Kidman is blessed with daughters Sunday, 15, and Faith, 13, with her current husband Keith Urban, and Tom has daughter Suri, 18, with his ex Katie Holmes.

Although Connor leads a relatively private life today, he grew up in Los Angeles and worked in the entertainment industry in his earlier years, starring alongside Will Smith in the 2008 drama The Last Man. Seven Livesplayed the lead role in the action film Red Dawn and released music in 2013.

Connor is also a passionate fisherman, and his Instagram account is dedicated to this activity, although he hasn’t posted a photo on his spreadsheet since April 2023.

“When I was a little boy, we used to go fishing a lot,” he told PEOPLE in 2016. “I was lucky enough to travel the world as a little boy, and now I travel the world for work.”

Connor was last spotted in London in late June, hanging out with his dad. They were seen getting off a helicopter in casual attire. Cruise opted for sunglasses, jeans, and a cream-colored tight-fitting top, while Connor wore a navy baseball cap, black hoodie, jeans, and sneakers.
